Lou Scala joins Memorial High School as an Athletic Trainer after serving the past three years at Frisco High School. He is excited to be a Warrior and to help open the athletic training education program.
Prior to Frisco High School, he was an Athletic Trainer within Dallas ISD. He spent 3 years as the Director of Sports Medicine at the University of New Haven in Connecticut where he traveled and worked with athletes competing in District, Regional and NCAA Championships. Before that, he served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Notre Dame of West Haven for eight years. He has had the privilege of working with many state champions, collegiate and professional athletes. During his time in Connecticut he served on numerous committees for Athletic Trainers at the state level. He also was the owner and operator of a strength and conditioning business specializing in speed and agility.
Coach Scala graduated in 2002 from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science/Athletic Training and a minor in nutrition. He received his Master of Science in Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement at California University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
He and his wife, Sherie, have two boys, Louie and Vinny. Both Louie and Vinny attend Frisco ISD elementary schools. Sherie also works for Frisco ISD. Lou and his wife spend most of their time taking their boys to various sports and activities. In his limited free time he enjoys cooking, playing or watching sports and spending quality time with his family.
Tiffany Whiteaker is joining the Memorial staff as a certified athletic trainer after spending the last 6 years at Hebron High School as an athletic trainer and sports medicine teacher. She graduated from The Colony High School and went on to continue her education at Texas Christian University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training in 2011. While at TCU, Ms. Whiteaker worked closely with the volleyball, football, swimming and diving and men’s basketball teams as a student athletic trainer while also interning with the team physician and local high schools.
After graduation she started substituting within Lewisville ISD and became a paraprofessional for the special education department at The Colony High School. This opened the door for a mid-semester hire at Hebron just a few short months later where she has been ever since. While at Hebron, she has accompanied many sports in extended play-off runs and state titles as the sports medicine arm of the school in addition to building up a strong student organization for the students in the sports medicine program.
Ms. Whiteaker spends her spare time with her three children, Braydon, Daymion and Kamrynn, ages, 8, 6 and 4 which are very active in youth sports in Frisco. Her two sons participate in the FFL, indoor soccer and Fieldhouse basketball, while her daughter is involved in dance and gymnastics. Ms. Whiteaker is very excited to continue her journey to Memorial High School as a Warrior and looks forward to meeting all the new staff, students and parents!
Sheena Black, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopic procedures. Her particular interests include arthroscopic treatment of injuries of the knee, shoulder, and hip as well as reconstructive and replacement surgery of the knee and shoulder.
After graduating summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Black attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor given to those graduating in the top 10% of their class. Her post-graduate training includes an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Black completed a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY, where she trained directly under many of the world’s top experts in orthopaedic sports medicine and hip, shoulder, and knee arthroscopy and reconstruction. During her fellowship, she was an assistant team physician for the New York Knicks and Iona College.
Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Black has been involved in research in the field of orthopaedics. She is the author of many peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented at national meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopic Association of North America.
In her spare time, Dr. Black enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing after their son and Labrador. She is also a sports enthusiast and likes staying active with running, golfing, skiing, yoga, and group fitness classes.

Dr. Ryan Vale, DC was born in South Texas (Edinburg, Tx) but spent most of his younger life in San Antonio. Dr. Vale was first introduced to Chiropractic when he sought out treatment for migraines. After struggling with them for over a year, a friend recommended that he go see his Chiropractor. Within just a few visits, Dr. Vale’s migraines were not only reduced in intensity, but the frequency drastically reduced from 1-2x per week to once every 2-3 months. Dr. Vale attended Texas A&M University after this experience and obtained a degree in Kinesiology while working for a Chiropractic Office part time and another full time job.
After years of experience under Chiropractic care, it excited Dr. Vale to be accepted into Parker College of Chiropractic where he obtained his doctorate. Dr. Vale obtained a certification in Applied Kinesiology while at Parker in order to further his passion of soft tissue and nutritional studies. Dr. Vale places his main emphasis on whole body therapy, physical and mental well being, exercise and nutrition.
When not working, Dr. Vale enjoys spending time with his wife Kylie, running, swimming, exercising or playing sports such as volleyball and soccer. Dr. Vale believes that actively giving back to his family and community is one of his greatest passions and inspirations.

Dr. Puneet Arora received his Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in 1997. In 2005, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As he was wrapping up his studies in Minneapolis, he moved to Dallas to complete an externship and instantly fell in love with the DFW community and decided to settle here.
Dr. Arora, or as many of his patients like to call him, Dr. A, enjoys spending his free time with his family and traveling to Toronto, where he grew up. He is also a member of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
